Tonnarelli (also called Spaghetti alla Chitarra ) are a type of long pasta reminiscent of"spaghetti". Traditionally they are made with an instrument called"guitar", an ancient loom with which the sheet is cut. This is why they also take the name of"spaghetti alla chitarra"or"macaroni alla chitarra". They are widespread throughout central Italy.
