Champagne Rosè 24 ème édition Krug

Krug Rosé is inspired by the fifth generation dream of the Krug family to produce a rosé Champagne that has never existed before and which reinvents itself every year, revealing a new face. All editions of Krug Rosé perpetuate this tradition.

• Blend: : Krug Rosé fascinates, as it replaces a good red wine with a touch of panache at the table. This Champagne is a delicate blend of vintage wines and reserve wines selected from the large collection of the Maison, complemented by the traditionally macerated Pinot Noir that brings body and spicy notes. The rest of about seven years in the Krug cellars gives the Krug Rosé refined character and elegance.
• The harvest : The 24th edition of Krug Rosé was created starting with the 2012 harvest, a splendid year but with a limited harvest, due to a series of weather events. During the winter and spring of 2012, Champagne vineyards suffered from frost, rain and thunderstorms, before facing the driest ripening season since 1974 and this led to a 20% drop in grape production. Each year, to recreate the idea of the fifth generation of the Krug Maison to compose an unexpected, bold and elegant Champagne Rosé, the Maison begins with the selection of wines of the year and previous vintages that together can release all possible expressions of fruit . This composition then embraces a traditionally macerated red Pinot Noir, which brings spicy notes, color and structure.
