Crescia is a product of very ancient tradition from the city of Gubbio.
The genuineness of the search for the original recipe allows you to enjoy a simple and fragrant product, still cooked in a wood fire on a special griddle, with characteristics similar to stone: thus the crescia di Gubbio is one like it once was.
ā Origin To prepare it, the dough was divided into small loaves which were rolled out with a rolling pin and placed on the "testo", a large stone plate heated on a wood-burning fireplace. The ancient recipe provided that the disk of pasta was cooked thanks to the ash from the embers with which it was covered.
