Only perfectly ripe corvina for a deep and refined wine, where fruit, spices and balsamic notes blend perfectly. When tasted, the wine reveals consistency and lightness, warmth and dynamism, richness and simplicity, as only great wines can express.

  • Vintage 2017 : 2017 was a particular harvest, contrasted between media reports and local realities. What characterized it, unlike what happened in other areas of Italy, was a beautiful regularity. Our vineyards remained completely free from frost and hail phenomena; the rains, although lower than average, were regular. The dry and windy climate, with the temperature variations of the last few weeks, has allowed, in addition to excellent health, an enhancement of the aromatic heritage.
  • Vinification : The wine, obtained from grapes harvested in the last phase of the harvest, matures, after maceration for approximately 25 days, in new Allier barriques for 20 months and for 8 months in large Slavonian barrels, and refines for 10 months in the bottle.
  • Vineyard : A small patch of white limestone with a triangular shape, surrounded by cypresses and overlooking Lake Garda, a handful of kilometers away.
  • Harvest : Manual harvest carried out towards the end of October. The harvest time implies the desire to determine a slight overripeness of the grapes on the vine.

Allegrini family

The Allegrini family has been a protagonist in the history of Fumane and Valpolicella Classica since the 16th century and, since then, has handed down the culture of vines and wine. The company, counted among the most important landowning families, experienced a profound transformation starting from the 1960s with Giovanni Allegrini. Recognized as one of the major architects of the rebirth of Valpolicella, Giovanni perfected the art of winemaking, acting rigorously in the selection of grapes and introducing some important innovations in the viticultural and oenological fields. Since 2017, Allegrini has renewed its Biodiversity Friend certification, which recognizes the attention not only to the vines but also to the animals and insects that populate the countryside and their natural habitat. 2019 was instead the year of Equalitas, certification of sustainability of the supply chain with regards to the environment, society, economy, and which also involves the entire network of suppliers. In 2021, constant monitoring of water consumption in the vineyards and a carbon footprint traceability process was launched, which quantifies Co2 emissions with the aim of rationalizing them and possibly neutralizing them with other agronomic operations.
