The Amarone Classico della Valpolicella DOCG Allegrini is a red of exceptional finesse and elegance, the fruit of the work and experience of the cellar.
Tasting The controlled drying of the harvested grapes, which lasts for a hundred days, brings with it the great aromatic intensity of dark fruit and undergrowth, together with spicy and tobacco notes. The impact in the mouth is powerful and vigorous and the wine gradually tapers on the acidic and savory thrust, lengthening delicately and finishing dry and clean.
Pairings Traditionally it is paired with dishes based on game, grilled meat, braised meats and long-matured cheeses. Thanks to the hints of drying of the grapes, Amarone can also be served with original and fascinating dishes with sweet and sour flavours, so it goes perfectly with the creations of Asian and Middle Eastern cuisine.

Allegrini family

The Allegrini family has been a protagonist in the history of Fumane and Valpolicella Classica since the 16th century and, since then, has handed down the culture of vines and wine. The company, counted among the most important landowning families, experienced a profound transformation starting from the 1960s with Giovanni Allegrini. Recognized as one of the major architects of the rebirth of Valpolicella, Giovanni perfected the art of winemaking, acting rigorously in the selection of grapes and introducing some important innovations in the viticultural and oenological fields. Since 2017, Allegrini has renewed its Biodiversity Friend certification, which recognizes the attention not only to the vines but also to the animals and insects that populate the countryside and their natural habitat. 2019 was instead the year of Equalitas, certification of sustainability of the supply chain with regards to the environment, society, economy, and which also involves the entire network of suppliers. In 2021, constant monitoring of water consumption in the vineyards and a carbon footprint traceability process was launched, which quantifies Co2 emissions with the aim of rationalizing them and possibly neutralizing them with other agronomic operations.
