Rosso di Montepulciano is a Tuscan wine with which Poliziano makes a very specific choice, based on the quality and identity of the territory. Instead of downgrading the grapes registered for the production of Nobile di Montepulciano, the winery goes beyond this simple operation which often leads to the selection of the less valuable grapes for the Reds of Montepulciano by identifying some vineyards with peculiar characteristics precisely to give rise to this denomination. . This is how this young and fruity red is born, with a good body and a more than pleasant sip.e.
- Method : It comes from an assembly between Sangiovese and a great international grape, Merlot. The plants grow in vineyards located at a height above sea level between 280 and 350 meters, characterized by a clayey and silty subsoil, where there is also the presence of skeleton. The must ferments in truncated conical stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature, with punching down to integrate the pumping over. Fermentation and maceration last a total of 12 days. Then follows the refinement, which lasts 8 months and is carried out in steel and in large barrels, for 20% of the total mass.
- Features : This Rosso di Montepulciano develops in the glass with an intense and persistent ruby color. The aromas that envelop the nose move on a texture made up of fruity and spicy notes, also enriched by woody touches and light references to humus. On the palate and full-bodied, enveloping the palate, with a sip characterized by a fresh and savory taste, in which the tannin is well worked.
