The challenge of the AUBRY brothers

It is in Jouy-lès-Reims, in the heart of the Petite Montagne de Reims, that Pierre and Philippe Aubry, descendants of a lineage of wine owners since 1790, have undertaken a true work of memory by deciding to revive some ancient and lost vines, once grown in Champagne.

Equipped with solid knowledge - Pierre, oenologist, graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Agronomie de Montpellier, Philippe studied biology - and the experience acquired by his father, the two taste adventurers thus won their bet: to combine the classic with the original. They know how to produce a range of wines for amateurs looking for a high and permanent expression of champagne, as well as a selection of rare vintages. This collection reflects even more than a spirit of the house, a true philosophy that can be summed up in a few principles: rigor, respect for traditions, originality and creativity.

Aubry

Rigor of the agronomist who favors the quality of the grapes, with attention to the yield of each vine; rigor of the developer who uses the best current tools; respect for traditions with a large press, selection of the "heart of the harvest" and aging in wood; originality of an individualistic approach that opposes any standardization of Champagne wine; creativity illustrated by archaeological research on forgotten grape varieties, with the aim of reviving the wines of the late 18th century that loved simmering bubbles and saw the birth of the Maison Aubry. The scope of this Champagne wine idea is an estate of over 12 hectares consisting of almost 50 plots. This palette of different soils, exposures and grape varieties allows the two brothers to perpetuate the Aubry style, while enriching the collection with limited series of exceptional champagnes.
