Champagne Les Prémices Egly-Ouriet is a prestigious Champagne produced by the renowned Egly-Ouriet winery. Les Prémices Egly-Ouriet is made using grapes from selected and sustainably grown vineyards . It is mainly composed of Pinot Noir grapes, a variety of black grape that gives the wine a complex structure and intense aromas. The blend can also include a percentage of Chardonnay, which brings freshness and finesse to the wine.

  • Characteristics :
Color: Les Prémices Egly-Ouriet presents itself with a splendid golden hue, often with slightly amber reflections. Perlage: The bubbles are fine and persistent, creating a pleasant effervescence in the glass.
Aroma: On the nose, this champagne offers a rich aromatic complexity. Notes of ripe fruit can be perceived, such as quinces, peaches and citrus fruits, alongside nuances of white flowers and delicate hints of toasting.
Taste: In the mouth, Les Prémices Egly-Ouriet stands out for its full and velvety structure. The flavors of ripe fruit blend harmoniously with the notes of yeast and an elegant minerality. The finish is long and persistent.
  • Pairings : Light fish-based appetizers, such as fresh oysters, fish carpaccio or salmon tartare. The freshness of the wine goes well with the delicate flavors of the sea. Thanks to its complex structure, Les Prémices Egly-Ouriet can be paired with more substantial fish dishes, such as a seafood risotto or a baked sea bass fillet; white meat dishes, this champagne pairs well with chicken or turkey preparations, perhaps with light citrus-based sauces. With a selection of soft cheeses, such as brie or camembert. The aromatic complexity of the wine goes well with the creaminess of the cheeses; light desserts made with fresh fruit, such as an apple pie or fruit salad.

Maison Egly-Ouriet

The history of the Egly-Ouriet house dates back to 1930, when Francis Egly, the grandfather of the current owner, purchased some vineyards in the Ambonnay region of Champagne. The winery only began producing quality sparkling wines in the 1980s, under the guidance of Francis' nephew, Francis Egly-Ouriet, who had studied oenology and had gained extensive experience in producing wines in other wine regions of France. Francis Egly-Ouriet decided to focus on the production of high quality Champagne, using traditional techniques and respecting the high quality grapes from his own vineyards as much as possible. Over the years, the Egly-Ouriet house has consolidated its reputation as one of the most prestigious Champagne producers in the region, earning numerous recognitions and awards. Today, the Egly-Ouriet house is managed by Francis' son, Pierre Egly, who has continued the family tradition of producing sparkling wines of great refinement and complexity. The winery produces around 100,000 bottles per year, using only high-quality grapes from its own Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards located in the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs.
