Introduced in its second homeland, Alto Adige, as early as 1850, Pinot Blanc is one of the most important white wines of the San Michele Appiano winery. Bottled for the first time in 1982, Schulthauser is today among the best-known Pinot Blancs in the South Tyrolean panorama. A complete wine, finely fruity and fresh, capable of seducing the palate both for its creamy softness and its marked acidity.

  • Characteristics : The color is straw yellow with greenish reflections. The scent denotes clear fruity expressions of apple, fresh pear and white flowers. The flavor on the palate is lively and balanced with fresh and fruity creaminess
  • Pairings : Typical aperitif and summer wine, but also a versatile accompaniment to dishes: it is recommended both with seafood and fish in general, and with delicate feathered game dishes. A particularly recommended pairing is with Tyrolean " Schlutzkrapfen " or cheese dumplings

S. Michele Appiano winery

For over a century the San Michele Appiano winery, with 320 families of winemakers and 385 hectares of vineyards, has taken care of the most important wine-growing municipality in Alto Adige: Appiano sulla Strada del Vino, located at the gates of the Dolomites. The land offers exceptional characteristics for the cultivation of unmistakable wines. Harvest after harvest, passion has become culture. The 330 families of winemakers form the backbone of San Michele Appiano. For them, viticulture represents a great passion passed down through generations. Each winemaker contributes with knowledge, passion and dedication to ensuring that the winery has excellent grapes to transform and refine with care and sensitivity. This is only possible thanks to precise, accurate and careful work in the vineyard, carried out with respect for the environment, starting with expert leaf removal and targeted thinning of the bunches. This guarantees maximum quality, naturally stimulating the biological balance of the soil and the vine, which has a huge impact on the entire ecosystem of the terroir, the most important capital of winemakers.
