One of the most prestigious labels of Valpolicella, it fully expresses the tradition of the Veneto area and thanks to the very long aging period in barrique, it is harmonious and with an expressive balance of extraordinary elegance and finesse.

  • Method : After the harvest, the bunches of grapes of all four vine varieties are left to dry, and only towards mid-December is the pressing carried out. After fermentation, aging is carried out for 36 months in new barriques. Finally, the Amarone della Valpolicella DOC, from the Dal Forno Romano winery, is completed with two years of rest in the bottle.
  • Characteristics : Intense ruby and impenetrable color. Seductive on the nose, it opens with notes of overripe black fruit, which are embellished with complex references to mocha, dark chocolate, pepper and oak. The taste is full-bodied and generous, it offers a velvety and smooth tannic texture, and has a superb and fascinating finish.
  • Pairings : It is not a wine to drink during a simple Sunday lunch, but rather should be reserved for important occasions. Excellent with woodcock on crostini.

Dal Forno Romano Cellar

Since the construction of the estate and the cellar in 1990, Romano Dal Forno has paid obsessive attention to all the production processes, both between the rows and in the cellar, starting from the planting of the vineyards up to the drying techniques.
It is in this cellar that vineyard tradition and technology come together and the union is productivity: here research surpasses exasperation, if a wine is to represent the Dal Forno Romano reality, it must be of a quality that can never be discussed.
