It was in fact necessary to wait until the first days of June for the vineyards to reach full bloom ... It hadn't happened in Champagne for a long time! Fortunately, the summer was radiant, with record-breaking sunshine and a low level of rainfall, which favored the maturation of the Pinot noir and Chardonnays. The October harvest took place in a cool autumn climate that gave rise to elegant wines of intense freshness ... great classics.”.
Tasting Notes
Color pale pink, light and delicate. Brilliant effervescence, extremely fine and dynamic. Refined bouquet of freshly picked sour red fruits (wild strawberries, raspberries) and flower petals with hints of lemon. The scented fragrances intertwine delicately, in their purity and definition, gradually enriching with shades of fresh almond, bread and spices (cocoa beans). We are far beyond the bouquet, thanks to the perfect fusion of these ethereal shades. Palate intense, velvety and bewitching that stands out despite these aromas. The juicy and concentrated red fruits gradually accompany towards the raspberry liqueur, supported by invigorating sugary citrus fruits. The harmony and delicacy are strengthened by the creamy effervescence that gives a concentrated and round sensation. The mineral freshness then relaxes the material, which becomes vertical, calcareous, saline and savory ... an infinite sensation of acceleration due to the luminous and pure calcareous soils.
