The Crescia it is a product of ancient tradition from the city of Gubbio.
The genuineness of the search for the original recipe allows you to enjoy a simple and fragrant product, still cooked in a wood-fired oven on a special plate, with characteristics similar to stone: this is how the crescia di Gubbio is like it once was.
✅Origin To prepare it, the dough was divided into small loaves that were rolled out with a rolling pin and placed on the "testo", a large stone plate heated on a wood-burning fireplace. The ancient recipe required that the disk of dough be cooked thanks to the ash from the embers with which it was covered.
✅Simple and versatile Only flour, water and natural yeast for a healthy and tasty food, without colourings or preservatives, which accompanies all your dishes and lends itself to being stuffed, hot, with cured meats, cheeses, vegetables, savory and sweet creams.
✅How to prepare it: Heat it in a pan, in the oven or on the grill for a few minutes and enjoy it piping hot, stuffed as you prefer.
