J.Hofstatter Cellars

For five generations our family has cultivated its vineyards on both banks of the Adige valley. Located in the heart of the historic village of Termeno, our estate extends between the peaks of nearby Trentino and the steep slopes of the Saar, in the Moselle wine-growing region, Germany. We combine tradition, pioneering spirit, respect for nature and innovation. We love what we do: we live wine. The different terroirs and different microclimates determine the character of our wines. For five generations we have been cultivating each vine where it can best express itself. Our proprietary vineyards extend on both banks of the Adige valley and at the end of the Ronchi valley in Trentino. Since 2014 we have been producing our Rieslings in Moselle, the most suitable German wine-growing area in the world for this noble variety. Our vines have their roots on plateaus and hills at altitudes ranging between 250 and 850 meters. Depending on the side on which they are located, the rows are reached by fresh mountain breezes or warm southern winds, by the morning or evening sun. Ours was the first South Tyrolean company to display "Vigna" on the label, identifying the wines that come from single vineyards, in the most suitable parcels.
