The 2017 Appius is the result of a harvest that represented one of the most arduous challenges of recent years. The painstaking work of selection during the grape harvesting and assembly phase managed to achieve a true sensorial alchemy. The contribution of each variety does not manifest itself in a distinct way, but rather gives life to a perfect combination.

  • Characteristics : Bright color with slightly olive-yellowish reflections. An intense and complex bouquet immediately arrives on the nose, played on yellow flowers (broom and lime) and above all white (hawthorn, orange blossom, orange blossom) and on citrus notes of mandarin and grapefruit and some rarer ones of white currant and gooseberry. Fine, elegant, almost velvety on the palate, supported by vibrant acidity and brilliant mineral and savory veining. Solid and persistent aftertaste.
  • Pairings : Excellent to accompany strong fish dishes such as frying. It also pairs perfectly with our traditional “Wienerschnitzel” (Milan schnitzel), mushroom specialties, truffles and wild birds. The combination with creamy cheeses with rind and mature cheeses is also excellent.
