The Syrah Le Pupille by Fattoria Le Pupille is the new label of the winery (first vintage produced 2015) strongly desired by Elisabetta Geppetti and her daughter Clara.

  • Method : The grapes come from two distinct vineyards, Vigna del Palo and Pian di Fiora and the grapes are processed separately and with two different vinifications. Those from the Vigna del Palo vineyard are vinified in 500-liter open tonneaux, those from the small half-hectare plot of Pian di Fiora in 500-liter handcrafted terracotta jars. A long maceration of 5 months follows the refinement of 12-15 months in French barriques and at least 18 months in the bottle.
  • Features : The olfactory bouquet is very rich and varied with fruity aromas and complex secondary hints of spices, cocoa and leather. On the palate it is fresh and elegant with a long finish on herbaceous and spicy notes.
  • Pairings : Le Pupille by Fattoria Le Pupille goes perfectly with white meats and fish-based dishes.

Le Pupille Farm

A country road, on one side the maritime pines, on the other a large, solid farmhouse in an intense yellow color. Welcome to Fattoria Le Pupille, in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma. At the entrance, two ancient globes immediately attract attention, which seem to allude to the family's vocation to look beyond, towards unexplored lands. A vocation carried out by Elisabetta Geppetti since 1985, the year in which she took over the reins of the company and transformed the family farm, which everyone called Le Pupille, into a modern winemaking reality. It was she who understood, at the age of only 20, the enormous potential of a land not yet admitted to the high society of prestigious wine-growing areas. Thus was born that project that made the company the true pioneer of the Maremma. In 1982 the first official label of the company was released, a 1978 Morellino Riserva. Italian winemaking.
