Salama da Sugo PGI is one of the most representative cured meats of the culinary tradition of Ferrara. This cured meat stands out for its strong taste, the result of a clever combination of spices and seasoning, which makes it an Italian gastronomic excellence.
How to Best Enjoy Salama da Sugo PGI
To best enjoy Salama da Sugo PGI, it is recommended to cook it in 2 ways: BOILED (version packaged in a box): 20 minutes approx. in the wrapper. Serve with mashed potatoes or peas.
MICROWAVE: remove from the wrapper and cook for about 4 minutes. Turn halfway through cooking.
Quality To produce Salama da Sugo, selected cuts of pork are used, flavoured with spices such as pepper and a touch of red wine which gives the product a complex and unmistakable aroma.
