The Benvenuti cured meats factory was born in the late 1950s from the passion of the founding members Rocco and Enzo. In the beautiful setting of the city of Lucca, they owned a grocery store where they began to sell the cured meats created in the back of their country home. Thanks to the success of the new business, they decided to expand it, and so the first Benvenuti cured meats laboratory was born. The staff was expanded with the first employees and the production line was set up with the first machinery. Thus, the process began to be increasingly more and more accurate, thanks also to the supply of raw materials from the Po Valley. Thus began the production of the excellent cured meats that we know today for their great quality. In 1995, the construction of the new laboratory was completed, adjacent to the original site, developed on two floors and with a total surface area of ​​approximately two thousand square meters, designed according to European health regulations and equipped with the most technologically advanced systems and machinery.

In 2007 the plant was further expanded by a thousand square meters to allow the production capacity to be doubled. The company is now managed by the five children of the founders who produce typical Tuscan sausages, maintaining the artisan tradition learned from their fathers and bringing it into the new millennium. The current laboratory is EEC recognized for the processing of meat products and for the cutting of meat with the number 1184/LP and is also equipped with a computerized system for the traceability of products from the raw material to the finished product.The care in the search for raw materials, the control of the proximity supply chain and production processes, the respect for artisan tradition and an accurate and efficient customer service are the pillars on which, even today, the company is based.
