Sharis by Livio Felluga is a light wine obtained with Chardonnay and Ribolla Gialla grapes, the result is a fresh and fragrant white wine, with citrus, fruity aromas and delicate floral nuances. It combines the elegant and intense notes of a noble international grape such as Chardonnay with the more essential and citrusy profile of Ribolla Gialla, the most widespread native white grape variety in Friuli Venezia Giulia. A wine that symbolically represents the synthesis point between the tradition of the territory and the centuries-old vocation of these lands to host the historic vines of French origin.

  • Method : To obtain this wine the grapes come delicatelydestemmed and left inmaceration for a short period. It is then softly pressed and the must obtained is clarified by decanting. The bottled wine is normally stored in thermo-conditioned rooms for at least two months.
  • Features : From the color canary yellow with golden reflections, its perfume is intense and captivating. Elegant notes of white and yellow flowers: jasmine, lily of the valley, golden lily and mimosa and fresh fruity hints of lime, amol and Golden apple. Final of lemon custard. The taste it is lively, balanced and enveloping. Pleasant presence of ripe white fruit, medlar, white cherry, gooseberry and kiwi. History Livio Felluga

It is easy to understand how the story of Livio Felluga and his wine intertwines with the history of that particular land that surrounds the far north east of the Adriatic, the point of contact between the Mediterranean and central Europe. History of borders that have changed several times, empires that have disappeared, past wars ... of people who have stopped here. It is the story of a man who went through two world wars, lived first in the Austro-Hungarian Empire and then in the young Kingdom of Italy, and lived on the rocky coast of the Istrian peninsula and in the Grado lagoon. Livio Felluga moved to Friuli in the late 1930s, to settle on the gentle buttresses of the Rosazzo hills. His dream of producing hill wine was interrupted by the call to the front. As if that were not enough, the return to Italy was not easy for the veterans of the Second World War: the physical, political and ethnic boundaries had changed, distorted forever, like the agricultural and social landscape of the hill itself. The peasant population was leaving, further impoverishing the land and abandoning crops, values and traditions linked to it. Livio Felluga had to undertake a new battle to revive the hill, convinced that only the rebirth of quality cultivation could bring life back to the Friulian countryside. With great courage he began to restore the ancient vineyards of Rosazzo and plant new ones, introducing innovative ideas and methods. A hard work, undertaken with great stubbornness and passion that will lead him over the years to create one of the most beautiful and significant business realities of the Belpaese, fully acquiring the title of re-founder of the Friulian viticultural tradition and reference actor of the Italian wine renaissance .
