Traveling slowly, with your gaze turned towards the summit, along the sinuous curves of Etna, you arrive in a place protected from the rest of the world. A place where the wind leaves a fine lava dust that enriches the soil. A place where the sun guides the bunches of Nerello Mascalese, NerelloCappuccio, Carricante, Catarratto and Moscato dell'Etna to perfect ripeness, which allow us to create the Extreme La Gelsomina line of wines. The structure is the result of a process started in the 1980s, when the engineer Alfio Turrisi decided to give his father a unique place, almost suspended between 'A Muntagna and the sea: La Gelsomina, precisely. 15 hectares of vineyard, orchard and olive grove, within which the most representative of the cultivars present in the former County of Mascali are grown. The care and passion with which every green corner is treated and the desire to grow and improve step by step have transformed an already suggestive place by nature into a very high expression of human craftsmanship. La Gelsomina soon became a winery and from 2018, with the collaboration with Tenute Orestiadi, wine tourism began to take shape.
